Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow

What we leave behind is sweeter,
Than what we have now;
What we have done is wiser,
Than what we do now;

Once upon a time you fell,
For the simplest word I said;
Once upon a time you could smell,
The breeze brushing me, in bed.

Does the daisies still bloom,
Just beside the kitchen wall?
Or you didn’t bother to water them,
And left for misfortune to befall?

But the letters of love you gave,
Filled with hug and kiss,
Wet, under my pillow I have,
Hissing the secret how much I miss.

Past is sweeter but future is sweetest:
It’s hope that dwells in tomorrow;
For I know it's time that tests,
Someday, you will shed off my sorrow.
