My way to office

In my school days, our teacher often used to make us write paragraphs on 'journey by train'. I wore a magnificent experience of such a journey where I was accompanied by my parents, a heavenly breeze through the window seat, and frequent visit of hawkers selling cheap yummy stuff. I used the best of all adjectives to define my journey by train and wished to experience it often. God gave ear to the murmurings of tiny lips and blessed me with endless journey by local train.

In a train, you will find a cocktail of human characters with each group possessing varied viewpoints on Nandigram, Rizwanur, westernization, mother-in-laws and office bosses. Consequently you make bold attempts to advocate any one group and there begins a battle of Panipat that is bound to last till 14 days, Oops! 14 stations. As the argument becomes fiery, voices become shrill to shriller, complemented by the rhythmic call of the nut seller, yelling of the beggar and 'doom machale' ringtone from someone's N-series cell phone.

Can you link blades in any way with the Puja season? The local train passengers can definitely do that. During Puja season, footboards of the trains are unnecessarily overcrowded, and often accompanied by the presence of a hand that is trying to explore the content of your purse with a sharp blade. So no matter how decently you behave or carry your accessories, everything is in vain by the time you reach your destination.

The rate of growth of the Indian population and the economic gap, I feel, can be experienced in no other better place that in local trains. On the better part, you can also realize the rate of growth job opportunities.

I wish I had my class IV's essay copy with me. Then I could have related this experience with the one I had put down in that copy. Long Live Local Trains!

She: The Inspiration

She, ‘the perfect’ woman I call
No frailty, no complexity, only smile I recall;

Stare at her and you are lost
In deep blank eyes, but they were moist.

Her morning begins with blooming flowers
Sans freshness, love and divine care.

A mother, a wife and a volleyball player.
She confronts life with ultimate dare,

Burden contracts her forehead muscles
But made her passion, a pillar of success;

Surpassing barriers from childhood till now
She well grasped the art of hiding sorrow:

No lover admires hard work trickling in drops of gold,
Nor her agonies can ever unfold.

Her game is a challenge, just as her life.
Her daughter imbibed her positive vibes.

Target is clear and destinations known;
She will have to, for she has sworn.

She returns home, at every dusk.
Kissing no dust, but with a Cup.

Hugging her mother with teary eyes,
Her proud daughter jubilates and smiles;

With heart filled of joy and youthful spree;
Her daughter utters, ‘Mamma I want to be like thee’.

Thinking positive: Medicine without side-effects

Someone once told me, 'If you think positive, you will get positive results'. I have strong faith in positive thinking. It is not so that you need to compel yourself to think positive but it is about developing a positive outlook.

The best way to positive thinking is to employ ‘logic’. This can again be complemented with intuition to get positive thinking. Always believe in yourself. What I have experienced from life is that, if you’re a sensible person with clear ideas neither can you be influenced nor can you be moved by any compulsion.

Negative ideas crop up when situations aggravate. I can also say the other way; situations are aggravated by negative ideas. It is foolish to narrate to you the points that help develop positive attitude as I believe if the realization to think positive come from within, points and counseling never help.

I can help you with one interesting idea. Everyday when you think negative or get influenced by negative ideas or thoughts scribble down anywhere. Say, if your negative thoughts are regarding a situation then wait for sometime. After some days when the situation becomes stable, at least in comparison to the previous, open that notebook where you scribbled your ideas. I bet you will smile saying, “I was just too much”.

Positive ideas help to lead a happy life. They help in watering our hopes and aspirations. Positive thinking is not escaping from reality but it is the positive approach to encounter it with strong willpower and self-confidence.

We always need to remember that:
We least have someone to worry about us, we have a pen to write our feelings, we have an alternative to our present situations, BUT there are friends who………..so please think positive, as it is the only curative without any side effects.

'Words', it's only words

I was just thinking what could I start with. Who is at all going to read the nonsense that I scribble through but suddenly I realized that this online diary is my own. If at all any friend is curious about me can surely roll through the pages.

First let me tell you something about my blog. A general question that anyone can ask is why have I named by blog as 'playing with words'. This has not been created for any commercial benefit. The objectivity I am nursing is different.

Words, irrespective of language can create magic. A group of words when compiled together becomes a poem, when oven with the involvement of various characters become a novel, when dropped to tunes becomes ode and when a lover utters for his maid he actually woos.

Words, even when, not spoken can play within us. When your id conquers over super ego, unheard words peep through.

Words that create a riot in you can come out in the shape of a creative asset. We all might not have the habit of scribbling but we can store those words in any form. These words when arranged together can surely give birth to something yet to be known.
